Meet Benjamin

Benjamin LeVine Nahar holds a Master of Science in Clinical Herbalism from Maryland University of Integrative Health and is an alumnus of the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism, where he has served on the teaching faculty for the past decade.

He began his career sourcing more than 10 million pounds of botanicals a year for Celestial Seasonings, gaining early exposure to the scale, economics, and quality realities of the herbal supply chain. He later co-founded Rasa and served as Chief Herbalist, guiding the company through the shifting demands of an early-stage brand — from product architecture and sourcing to positioning, manufacturing, quality control, and iterative reformulation.

As a consultant and fractional R&D leader, Benjamin focuses on product innovation grounded in modern phytochemistry, clinical research, and traditional herbal knowledge. He brings coherence to complex formulation challenges — translating between biological mechanisms, plant tradition, and sensory experience to develop products that are both credible and deeply satisfying to consume.

Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, his thinking is informed as much by time in the aspen groves and piñon-juniper forests as by clinical and technical training. Outside of work, he trail runs, climbs, and plays guitar.
